• If you’ve ever wanted to learn the keyboard shortcuts to Photoshop and other Mac apps, visit Photojojo’s store and order yourself a keyboard shortcut skin. I’ve already ordered myself one for my MacBook Pro laptop and can’t wait to skin my keyboard with color.
• Speaking of skins, a great site for them if you want to mod everything from your iPod to your laptop is Skinzini. I like skinning my gadgets to escape the monotony of metal and white and black.
• Found this post on Abduzeedo – tons of free Photoshop brushes. I’ve been feeling a bit moddish lately and am enjoying the designs offered. These are must downloads. And you’re welcome.

• Just as I enjoy the muffin hat on muffins, I enjoy the crusty edges of brownies. And if you’re a brownie-edge lover, too, then the Baker’s Edge Brownie Pan is for you. I know my favorite piece from this pan will be the very ends because then you’ll get crusty brownie on three sides. Score!
• I love this bubble necklace from the MoMA Store. It’s beyond beautiful. I’m not usually big on necklaces, but when I see one I like, I know it’s one that speaks to me. And this one does.

Because my summer has officially started. This weekend, Chicago. Next weekend, my birthday and a new blog design. Fun, fun, fun! Stay tuned!

• Without a doubt living green should be a way of life. Now that’s gotten easier to do with these glass “disposable” cups from Up To You, Toronto. I apparently have this thing for things that look like other things. And this faux-plastic will be added to my collection.
• Have I missed the boat on these “Honesty Stamps” by Dan Wilcox? If you can find them, grab them because they’re hard to come by. They’re that cool.
• Let me apologize right now for directing you to ManBabies.com – a blog showing photos of the heads of babies swapped with those of their fathers. Yeah, nothing much else to say but that.

• I love sushi. I live by sushi. So I’m pretty sure that I’ll be giving this “First Book of Sushi” to some kid I know when they come of age to hold chopsticks. Miso in my sippy cup, tofu in my bowl. Crab and avocado fill my California roll. Cute.
• I was scoping around the Museum of Modern Art online store and found this ridiculously simple and mobile blackboard. Loved the blackboard wall clock that I posted last week. Loving this blackboard on a hanger now. Perhaps I am reverting back to my childhood, and if so, then I’ll be the first to usher in Childhood 2.0.
• Totally rad. Sic. Gnarly. Freakin’ sweet. I can’t be anymore eloquent when describing the Done Daily Design Workout website. It’s a daily dose of inspirational art. The site is very well designed and bursting with color. I love me some color. And I visit this site every single day.

• Who doesn’t love a good poll? ‘Cause if you don’t love a good poll, we probably shouldn’t be friends. I follow Straw Poll Now on Twitter. Everyday they put up an interesting question. What I find more interesting than anything else are the reasons people have for their answers. Most reasons are funny, some are weird, but all are definitely interesting.
• Some dude name Robert Johnny sketched every student from his mother’s 1968 high school yearbook. Woah. Such a good idea. I should go back and start sketching out all my friends from high school. Maybe Grown Up Grace will see something more in her friends that High School Grace wasn’t able to.
• My single avatar on TwoPeas has always been a winking Care Bear. So when this Care Bears icon set popped up on my radar, I thought it would be fun to share it with you. There’s only five in the collection (I hope the designer creates more), but for now I’m relishing the ones he’s released.

• Color Wars 2008 – such a fun site! They say their site is “just like summer camp (but) not really.” I’m tempted to join one of the teams and take part in a challenge. One funny one is the “Young Me, Now Me” Challenge gallery. I should find a photo of Young Grace and have Now Grace re-model it. Can you imagine? Maybe that one of me taking a bubble bath….uh, no, wait. Not a good idea. LOL. This is a family-friendly site, after all.
• Hey! diddle, diddle… I Must. Get. This. Dish. Uncommon Goods has in stock The Bowl That Ran Away With the Spoon. Great title for dishware. A bit pricey, but I think the sentiment behind the name might just be worth it. (And, what’s a “diddle” exactly?)
• Okay. Confess. Have you bought an American Idol tune from iTunes? Because I have. I’ve purchased Brooke White’s rendition of The Beatles’ “Let It Be” and Jason Castro’s go at Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” – both favorites. Now I’m trying to decide if I should purchase David Cook’s interpretation of Mariah Carey’s “Always Be My Baby” (video below). Someone talk me into it. Never mind. I just did.

My mom and grandparents are leaving for the Philippines this weekend and I’ve got a lot of Balikbayan boxes to help pack. And since Mom and Lola won’t be here for Mother’s Day, I’m planning on something special for them before they go. Wish me luck!

• I always enjoy getting stuff in the mail and I go nuts when that mailed item comes in a super creative envelope. The Envelope Collective describes the phenomenon as “art gone postal” and that’s so true. Check out the site and look through their gallery of re-purposed, arted envelopes. Fun.
• The school-kid in me strikes again! Just ordered this ruled mug from Fishs Eddy. They also have designed mugs in graph paper, notebook lined, and script green. I plan to collect them all and keep my art pencils, paintbrushes, and the like in them. I’ll keep one, though, for drinks and write myself reminder notes while I’m enjoying some tea. Brilliant.
• I’ll confess that I was never one of the cool kids while growing up. No surprises there. But I think I can finally get some cool kid cred if I get myself this Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine. Perpetual Kid just got these in stock and I want one bad. Like really bad. Summer’s on its way and I want to make my own fruit-flavored sno cones.

• It isn’t a secret that one of my secret dreams is to be a guest voice on The Simpsons. So when I saw this post on Filmonic about which real life actors should play Simpson characters, I found myself totally agreeing with the list. Check out the list and see if you agree. They got it pretty spot-on. And I mean spot-on.
• Battlestar Galactica begins their fourth and final season tonight on the SciFi channel. I can’t believe this will be it; there won’t be anymore next year. I love this show. I love, love, love it. Looooooove it. Winner of numerous awards, including a Peabody (one of the highest of the highest), and the love of millions of fans like me, BG cannot be considered anything less than one of the best shows on TV ever. I don’t usually watch a lot of TV, but this is one of those shows that I am freakishly religious about following. So I’ll spend my time trying to figure out who the last Cylon is and soak in the amazing writing from the show. I’m a geek and am truly proud to call myself a fan.
• This will melt your heart: a story about a 70-year-old man who is fulfilling his dream of being a first grader. Follow your dreams, keep your promises, and live your life. Nothing truer but that.

• Wall•E!! I just saw the trailer for this coming summer’s Pixar movie and am so excited about it. Seriously, I really am still a kid at heart. A curious robot who’s meant to be something more. I totally feel the dude. And can’t wait to see this one!
• These Listerine still ads are smart, iconic, and effective. Imagine walking around with a breath bubble over you. Ewww and funny. If I had a breath bubble, it would be a California Roll since I eat so much sushi. LOL.
• Saw this advert for a slick rocking bed on Gizmodo a few months back and I rediscovered it again because I was cleaning out my bookmarks. Don’t concentrate so much on the product or the video clip, but more on the writing of the posting. If only I could write this well. If only.

• I need to get some of the new Sharpie Ultra Fine Retractable markers. This is going to be a must-have for me since I write on slick surfaces so much. And I now need them especially after I saw this commercial for it. If it’s good enough for David Beckham, then it’s good enough for me.
• I probably owe my love for ink to Ed Emberley. Remember how he taught you how to draw with a thumb print and a pen? I do. I think I checked out nearly all his books from our local library. And if you love him as much as I do, then check out his site. You can find download-able activities for you and your kids.
• Dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum-da-dum…I hear this rhythm and think Spy Hunter, one of my favorite video games to play as a kid. And Pontiac has brought out my inner geek with their commercial for their new “G8 is Car” line. The commercial is sick! Check it out.

• “369″ by Cupid is way infectious. It’s a song with fast beats that make me want to shake my bootie. Once I heard the song, it was an immediate download for me from iTunes. Check it out if you want a groovy song to dance to.
• Long live Blueprint, one of my favorite magazines around. Though it is now defunct, the fun lives on with the Blueprint blog, Bluelines. A definite bookmark in my collection.
• I love adding new wrinkles to my brain, so Mental Floss is a daily visit for me. During my lunch break when I’m web surfing. I enjoy their quizzes because they remind me of how un-brilliant I really am.

• Scrabulous. I spend way too much time playing this game through Facebook. And for some reason I don’t seem to have any five-letter words in my vocabulary. Hmmm…
• A new favorite font of mine is Tagettes. Since I’ve embarked on a journey to learn calligraphy, all things swirly are starting to appeal to me. Free to download, so grab it now.
• Have you guys seen the promos for Dirt on the FX network? It’s some hot stuff. I love how they’ve employed a cartoon vector feel for each teaser. Check out the videos under Uncensored in the menu. I’m so fascinated with each one.
