I love my brother.

Today’s my brother’s 34th birthday. Happy birthday to him!

This is a super sweet one for our family. Last month my brother, Gilbert, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and our world has been turned upside down. He’s currently in the ICU at Stanford Hospital and we don’t know when he’ll get out. He’s having a hard time fighting off the infections he’s gotten and it’s so hard to see him so weak. My brother has always, always been the man in my life and I’ve depended on him for almost everything. I love him so much.

He’s an amazing older brother and we’re incredibly close. He cooks meals and packs the extras as a lunch for the next day, even wrapping up silverware in a napkin for me. How sweet is that? He’s a better piano player than I am even though it was me who was the piano teacher. He’s got a very romantic heart, it’s an absolute marshmallow, and has always been respectful to the ladies. He’s a great son to my parents, especially takes great care of mom. My brother loves kids, I mean he absolutely adores them, especially his nephews. For such a big guy, he’s got such a gentle heart. He’s a great friend to his friends and supports them 100% in anything they do. He loves to sing and has actually won karaoke contests. Ha! Which is surprising because he’s normally a quiet soul, one whose always allowed the performer in me to shine. He’s the love of my life.

Please, God, please let him live. He wants to so badly. I know You have a plan, but I humbly ask that You please listen to what’s in my brother’s heart and hear his prayers. We love him so much. He fills our world with joy and our hearts with love. Let him see Your love so that he may serve You always.

Kuya, I love you. Please, pull through this and come back to us. I need you so much. My world isn’t complete without you in it. It’s always just been you and me. You’ve never let me down before, so don’t start now. You’re my favorite guy in the world and the best big brother ever.

Happy birthday, kid. I love you.

My best friend is getting married this weekend. I’m heading down to SoCal now to start celebrating her big day. I know I’ll cry a lot because I just won’t be able to help myself. And of course I’ll take a lot of photos. Of course I will.

But until I put those photos up, I’m sharing a little cute video I made from me to her.

I had a blast photographing the grads from Los Altos High School last week. Because I believe the children are our future. Treat them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside. So I set up the Flash!Bang! booth and let them at it. And here are just a few of the awesomely hilarious photos they gave me.

And finally these photos of three guys whose names I don’t know, but whose sense of humor deserves an A+. They are our future, folks, and they sure are bright.

Have I introduced you to Cartwheels In My Mind yet? I’m so happy to be part of their team because the group of ladies I’m with are just A+ fantastic. I’ve been out of the business for a while for my own reasons, but primarily because I just needed some room to breathe. I anticipate this group to be every bit as challenging and exciting as any I’ve been a part of in the past. So excited to see what’s in store!

And with that, I’m happy to share this layout, the first one I’m sharing with the public in nearly two years. Feels good to be back.

Today’s my birthday, so it’s my complete pleasure to share with all of you my most recent maternity session. Kinda fitting since the little bundle will have their own birthday soon.

Meet Lauren and Nick, two beautiful people who are about to welcome their first child into this world. Their session was one of my easiest to date, so chill and relaxed just like the parents-to-be.
