November 4th, 2008 Sneak Peek: Collin + Family

Meet Baby Colin and his parents. He just had his 1st birthday and is already a superstar. No way did he want to stay still. So I was happy that I got these quick family shots while mommy and daddy held him before he wiggled completely out of frame. :)

My favorite photo from the session.

Check out his happy face. :)

There he goes. You couldn’t keep him still.

Caught this silhouette just as the sun set. Sweet.

Thanks for letting me share!

October 13th, 2008 Sneak Peek: Sherille’s Belly Session

This is Sherille. She and I have come a long way together: we were housemates during college, I was a bridesmaid in her wedding, and in just over a month she’ll be giving birth to my future Goddaughter. Here are just a few photos from our recent belly session. Be on notice: she is absolutely stunning.

With Angel. He’s going to be the best kind of father.

And say hello to KC, the baby inside the bump.

These two are going to be great parents. They’re great laughers already.

This is what you get when 1 + 1 = LOVE.

Thanks for letting me share. Congrats Sherille + Angel!

September 14th, 2008 Sneak Peek: Danny

Meet Danny. I had the pleasure of taking portraits of him this past weekend. No doubt about it, you’ll probably see him soon in an advertisement near you. Cute, isn’t he? :)

Gotta love a guy and his guitar.

Especially gotta love a guy who loves his mom.

Thanks for letting me share!

September 9th, 2008 Sneak Peeks: Villaverde & Perez Family

This is Lisa’s family. I borrowed her piano book almost 20 years ago and still haven’t given it back. So as payment, I grabbed these quick shots of her family in formal attire. They knew how to work it. :)

With her husband. Awww….

And their kids. Spitfires, both of them.

Yup, total pros.

I also grabbed these quick shots of Jason and Joy. They’ve been my friends since middle school. I love saying I have friendships that have lasted. I’m lucky like that.

Perfect. Just perfect.

Thanks for letting me share!

August 31st, 2008 Sneak Peek: Cassie + Family

Can you be jealous of a four year old? You betcha. Especially when she’s this adorable. Meet Cassie. This girl with the curly hair stole my heart completely.

August 7th, 2008 Sneak Peek: Baby Fionna and Family

Meet Fionna. She’s got a fantastic name, of course, because she’s a truly fantastic kid. Her parents, too, are equally awesome. They were game for anything I wanted to try and I’m so happy they shared their home with me. Here are just a few photos from their family’s portrait session.

This kid is brilliant.

Her dad’s a photographer, too, so he totally understood what I was trying to do.

And her mom loves to model around. Perfect.

Yup. Her binkie fascinated her more than I did.

Okay, gotta get serious now.

And here it is, my favorite shot.

Thanks for letting me share!

July 27th, 2008 Sneak Peek: Baby Maya and Family

Introducing Baby Maya and her beautiful family. These are just a few sneak peaks from her family’s portrait session. I’m so honored they asked me to be their photographer. They were such a joy to photograph.

Baby Maya. Look at those eyes. Heart melting.

With her mama, both beautiful ladies.

Her dad and big brother. Let me tell you, her brother’s a spit fire. The perfect model.

And their toesies! Look at her chubs! Only babies can get away with chubs like these. ;)

Thanks for letting me share!

March 20th, 2008 Three photos and a revamp.

I wanted to share these because they’re so random. I’ve been on a random-finding photo trip lately looking for any that would be fun to enlarge as a print for my wall. Here are three truly random ones.

They convinced me to give up my change.

I live in a big world.

BLOG REVAMP
If you’ve been around the last two days, you’ll have noticed a few changes on this blog. I’ve been revamping it (the journey never ends, really) to fit some changes I wanted done. Right now the archives page is down (boo), but I’m hoping to get it back up by the end of today.

The biggest change, though, is the commenting system. Click to show comments or leave one yourself and you’ll see the magic happen. The comments and comment form fade in and out, all on the main page. Love the effect.

But if you’re using Internet Explorer 6.0 and older, you may not see anything happen at all. I don’t yet know if it works with IE7.0 or newer, so if you’re using either browser, please let me know if the fade effect is working for you. And if you are still using Internet Explorer, how about considering Firefox instead? Believe me, Firefox is such a better platform to view the web in. So much better.

LOTS TO DO
And so little time to do it. Have a great Thursday everyone.

January 1st, 2008 2008, Hello!

So how did you celebrate?

New Year’s fruitMe, I celebrated with family at home watching Time Square on TV. Nothing too exciting and that’s all good with me. I ate some round fruit exactly at midnight; eating round fruit is supposed to bring good luck. And after all the fruit I ate last night, I should have luck coming out of my ears.

I’m spending this New Year’s day watching the Monk marathon on the USA Channel. I love this show. I love Tony Shalhoub. Always have since his stint as Antonio Scarpacci on Wings. Loved that show. And I’m going to enjoy nothing more than spending my day with Monk.

BROWSER WARS
I’ll also be on my laptop trying to figure out why my website seems to break when viewing it on Internet Explorer. Ugh, ugh. I wish the whole world were viewing the web on Firefox or Safari. Anything but IE. That would make my whole life a lot easier. So I’ll apologize now for those viewing my site on IE. I’m trying to figure things out just for you.

IF YOU’VE GOT THE TIME
Why not take part in this week’s challenge on 2Ps? This week I challenge you to scrap one of your resolutions for 2008. I make lists every single year, but I never fulfill all of them. So instead of feeling like a phenomenal failure, I’ve decided to just give myself one resolution to stick through: “Be a better you everyday.”

Sounds easy, right? We’ll see. And this layout will remind me of my resolution all year long.

ZING BOOM-ING IT!
zingboomI’m honored to be a Zing Boom guest designer for this month. The kits from this club are definitely fun to play with, very colorful, and imaginative. Kristen consistently puts together kits full of pieces that play especially well with items you already have in your collection. I’d highly suggest visiting this site if you’ve got the time - it’s visual candy. Her design team’s gallery is full of inspiration and the whole site is a joy to navigate through.
Thanks, Kristen, for letting me play!
