September 17th, 2008 A heart day.
Today is a heart day for me. I’m breaking my own heart and now will work to mend it. Yup, it’s one of those days.

June 24th, 2008 On my mind.
It’s now 1:25am and I’m wide awake thinking about my wedding dress. Now, mind you, I’m not even close to getting married. Not even close. And I’ve never been the kind of girly-girl whose planned out her wedding since she was five. Nope, not me.
But right now, right this minute, I have the picture in my head what my perfect wedding dress would be. Finally. I thought I’ve been missing the girl gene. Glad to know it’s still in me. Somewhere.
Now I think I should stop thinking about my future wedding. Because I’ll end up thinking about my future husband and that’s a whole different kind of headache.
G’night.

Apologies for all Internet Explorer users. I think I’ve found the bug on my site and you should now be able to open up for more momentarybliss.com goodness. ![]()
May 2nd, 2008 Grace’s Love List - 5/2
- Maps are a hot design trend right now; they’re a timeless look. I was glad to find this free vector download from MacDaddy Designs of a world map. I’m planning on making a mini-album of my travels and intend to print the design out on 5×7 cardstock to use as the pages for it.
- What’s your favorite color? Right now mine is #FF496C. If you want to know what that color is, then check out this fun article from Colourlovers.com. And since I’m such a factoid-kind of person, I enjoyed the read a lot.
- I love this blackboard wall clock from Eco-Artware. It’s such a simple and fun idea. I don’t know if I’ve told anyone, but I exist on Grace-time. For me, 1:15pm is actually “Take a Nap”-time and 7:42pm is “Take a Moment to Breathe”-time. This wall clock is just the thing to make Grace-time fun for everyone.
- Recently, I went on a girl’s weekend scrapbook getaway trip with a few girlfriends. They scrapbooked. I printed photos. Lots and lots and lots of photos that had been sitting on my hard drive. And the printing was made possible by my beloved Epson Picturemate. This fabulous 4×6 printer is a wonder. The color print is brilliant and vibrant and I love being able to print out a photo whenever I want. If you’re looking to add to your scrapbooking/design stash, then consider this toy for your collection.
- I’m a huge fan of Law & Order: SVU because one of my favorite actresses is Mariska Hargitay. And if you’ve never visited her personal site, then you’re missing out. Her website is filled with illustrations and watercolors and I love it all. It’s such a cool design; definitely one that has me going back to look again and again.
- I couldn’t exist without Google Reader. I visit all my websites by subscribing to their feeds and viewing their pages through Google Reader. I love it because the reader is fast, iPhone-friendly, and integrates well with my own workflow. Viewing my favorite sites through a reader saves me a lot of time from clicking through my bookmarks list, and that’s a good thing.
- When I was a college student, I lived through index cards. The system worked really well for me because I could just grab the cards of notes that I needed and go off and study. The drawings on the index cards on the Indexed blog reminds me of those days. But these cards are much cooler. And thought-provoking. And sometimes so on point it’s both scary and funny. Check the site out if you want wisdom on a 4×6.
- My snack of choice are dried mangos. My family in the Philippines has owned mango plantations for generations, so you can say this choice of food runs in my blood. And my favorite brand of dried mangos is this one. I eat bags of these the way people eat Cheetos. I eat Cheetos, too, though. I’m not a hater.
- What’s with my fascination for Wonder Woman? I mean, seriously, what’s up with that? Because now I have a need to get me these Wonder Woman undies from Webundies.com. Someone talk me out of it.
- I have lots of software in my computer that I don’t use often enough and the reason for this is because I really don’t know how to use many of them. Genius, huh? So I’ve subscribed to Lynda.com because their online video tutorials are exactly what I need. I like the videos because they’re very comprehensive and I’m free to learn at my own pace. Yeah, I’m going to do some mock-ups, and then turn those into thumbnails, maybe do some splash frames? I don’t know what I’m talking about. But I’m excited.
- I GOT IT! The book! Photographing Children Photo Workshop. I love photographing families and wanted to add this book to my collection to help me better connect with kids. I don’t have any kids of my own and I think I relate to kids well-enough, but I appreciate this book because it helps give me another approach to photographing children. And the biggest plus is that Lisa Russo - one of my most favorite people in the whole world - contributed photos and techniques to it. She’s awesome, her work is awesome, and I love having this in my collection.
- Sincere apologies for missing last week’s Love List. Ugh. I’ve been so very busy at work -insane hours!- and simply didn’t have the time to create a post. So hopefully I’ve made up for my oversight with this week’s list. And here’s my gift to you, a video of kittens bobbing their head to music.
Cute Kittens Bop Their Head
Cheers!
April 25th, 2008 Whoops! Updating Wordpress
And then the Love List will be posted. Stay tuned!
April 11th, 2008 Grace’s Love List - 4/11
I’m calling today a “Feel Good Friday”. It just feels that way to me. Doesn’t it feel that way to you??
On with the list!
- I have lots of friends who I can probably give these Black Bar glasses to. Haha. But I shouldn’t talk since I should keep a pair for myself. Fashion victim? Check! Bad hair days? Check! This is a great idea for the Generation-XYZ of today.
- I’ve been looking for something like this font collection forever. Sweet! I’m planning on using The European Font for lots of projects, like finally completing my album from my Europe trip. A good font to add to your collection.
- I can doodle; I’ve got game. But I can’t doodle quite like this. Check out these designs by Larry Roibal. Sketches of the news-makers directly on their news stories. Fascinating.
- When I first started scrapping, one of the first designers I followed religiously was Allison Kimball. And I still follow her via her blog. It’s easy for me to do since she blogs everyday. (Unlike some people we know with the initials MG. Ahem.) I love the pictures she shares of her kiddos. And I absolutely love her art. Check these out. And this. And this. She is awesome.
- Have you guys ever heard of Improv Everywhere? I hope you have, but if not then I’m glad to introduce you to the movement now. As they put it: “Improv Everywhere causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places.” I vow to serve as one of their agents someday. I’m hoping they put something together in San Francisco soon. Until then, check out their latest mission - “Best Game Ever” - of which I’ve added the video below. (They got freakin’ Jim Gray to join in!) Also, “Frozen Grand Central” and “Slo Mo Home Depot” and “Food Court Musical”. I can’t get enough of these. Seriously.
- I read about Professor Randy Pausch in an article in the New York Times late last fall and watched his last lecture on You Tube. And I cried, and cried, and cried. And last night I watched a Diane Sawyer interview with the professor and was reminded again of how there are good people in our world. Very inspiring, very heartbreaking, and very sincere. If you haven’t seen the lecture yet, promise me that someday you will. You’ll be a better person for it, I guarantee.

Randy Pausch - “The Last Lecture”
This weekend I’m at The Scrapbook Territory teaching my “re:ality” mini-journal album. And then heading over to Lara’s to celebrate Max’s first birthday. Then find me a date to watch Young at Heart.
Have a great weekend! Be good.
April 4th, 2008 Grace’s Love List - 4/4
- I always enjoy getting stuff in the mail and I go nuts when that mailed item comes in a super creative envelope. The Envelope Collective describes the phenomenon as “art gone postal” and that’s so true. Check out the site and look through their gallery of re-purposed, arted envelopes. Fun.
- The school-kid in me strikes again! Just ordered this ruled mug from Fishs Eddy. They also have designed mugs in graph paper, notebook lined, and script green. I plan to collect them all and keep my art pencils, paintbrushes, and the like in them. I’ll keep one, though, for drinks and write myself reminder notes while I’m enjoying some tea. Brilliant.
- I’ll confess that I was never one of the cool kids while growing up. No surprises there. But I think I can finally get some cool kid cred if I get myself this Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine. Perpetual Kid just got these in stock and I want one bad. Like really bad. Summer’s on its way and I want to make my own fruit-flavored sno cones.
- It isn’t a secret that one of my secret dreams is to be a guest voice on The Simpsons. So when I saw this post on Filmonic about which real life actors should play Simpson characters, I found myself totally agreeing with the list. Check out the list and see if you agree. They got it pretty spot-on. And I mean spot-on.
- Battlestar Galactica begins their fourth and final season tonight on the SciFi channel. I can’t believe this will be it; there won’t be anymore next year. I love this show. I love, love, love it. Looooooove it. Winner of numerous awards, including a Peabody (one of the highest of the highest), and the love of millions of fans like me, BG cannot be considered anything less than one of the best shows on TV ever. I don’t usually watch a lot of TV, but this is one of those shows that I am freakishly religious about following. So I’ll spend my time trying to figure out who the last Cylon is and soak in the amazing writing from the show. I’m a geek and am truly proud to call myself a fan.
- This will melt your heart: a story about a 70-year-old man who is fulfilling his dream of being a first grader. Follow your dreams, keep your promises, and live your life. Nothing truer but that.
Off for a weekend of cabin-ing. Have a great one!
March 31st, 2008 Office Supply Goodness
DETAILS ENCLOSED
And I’m also sharing my projects that I did for the coming Kit of the Month from lisabearnson.com. If you love office supply-looking products, you’ll love the April kit. The kit comes in 12 different colors, in 12 different styles, with over 140 pieces. Yup. Good stuff.
Here are larger view of the projects I did. I worked on the salmon-colored kit. What can I say? Salmon is the new pink.

March 29th, 2008 Sharing.
STUDIO CALICO IS UP!
I’m this April’s guest designer and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Their team is so, so talented and am happy that I could contribute. April and Scarlet are two amazing women and I’m so happy to support people who I know are awesome.
Here are a few sneaks of the projects I did. You can view the rest here.
FRAGILE & BEAUTIFUL
I was walking from A to B the other day when I spotted this egg shell on the ground. Spring is here and the birds are hatching. That’s a good thing.
I’M CLEANING TODAY.
Not my favorite chore, but a necessary one just the same. Wish me luck!
March 27th, 2008 Grace’s Love List - 3/28
Ooh, I’m so excited with this week’s list! I hope you guys like this one.
- Blue and glass makes for a happy Grace. Love these lanterns from Anthropologie. I’m planning on ordering a set for my room to hang on either side of my mirror.
- I love incorporating office supplies in my scrapbook designs and these vintage ledger art tags from My Knapsack Dreams Shop speak to me.
- Jen McGuire turned me onto the ColorBox’s Cat’s Eye inkpads. After purchasing one to try out, I splurged and purchased a set in every color. Now I can’t do without them. No regrets here.
- Being an avid piano-player, I appreciate any design that incorporates music notes. And this ad by Sony is very cool. I love the idea of music in your ears.
- I’ve always wanted to be Wonder Woman. And I want to make myself this Wonder Woman sweater bad. I mean bad. After all, all the world’s waiting for me and the powers I possess. Because I know the world is ready for me and the wonders I can do. I just need this sweater. And some gold wrist bracelets. And a truth lasso. But I can’t knit worth my life. This is a dilemma.
- I love Mixwit!! So easy to build a play list and share it in a visually appealing way. Here’s a mix I’ve made. I like all sorts of music and this mix is very reflective of my style. Enjoy!!
