Grace’s Love List – 3/7

So many things for today. Let’s get started.

Maz’s art journal is beautiful.He’s a winner.I found this ever-elusive Alice cover using Album Art.

  • It’s all about art journals lately and for me that means Maz’s work. Full of color and life, the pages are a reflection of a true artist. Check out her blog – Diving for Pearls – if you’ve got the time. It’s always a good read, one of my favorites.
  • I saw this clip from Britain’s Got Talent almost a year ago and I still cry over it even to this day – Paul Potts getting his moment to shine. I only hope I have a shining moment like this someday.
  • Are you an iTunes user? I am. Devotedly. So when I burn my CDs and need to grab the album art for them, I go to AlbumArt.org. Thank God for this site.

I rock with my Paul Frank iPhone cover.Comic Life is fun.Inspiring photography.

  • My search for the perfect iPhone cover is over. The winner is this Paul Frank rubber cover with the slap bass design. It saves me each time I drop my iPhone. *sigh*
  • Too much fun. That’s what it’s like when I play with Plasq’s creative software, Comic Life. Available for both Macs and PCs, it’s a must for all who wishes to make their photos into comic art.
  • Jan Von Holleben. Enough said.

Wishing you all a fun and restful weekend! Cheers!

Grace you are such a DOLL! You have made my day….thankyou sooooooo much….
The girls…… (you know who they all are! Louise, Ailsa, Pam, Julie, Kirsty, Julie….) and I are all tucked up together in a gorgeous Devonshire farmhouse for a weekend of scrapping bliss. And they all say HI! Happy memories being shared of removing ink from desks with the Stazon remover at midnight!! Luv ya, maz xxx

Hey there MG!!! Love reading your blog. The “things grace loves” are always cool to read.

Quick question on one of your 2 peas pages. The “Baby Love” page with the cut dingbat. I’ve been using my wishblade a little more and was curious how you did that. I tryed to cut it too but mine was really thin and it had these little bits that weren’t connected. Did you rework the dingbad in another program? Thanks for any help!

@Maz
Miss you guys so much! Hope you’re having a wonderful and scrappy weekend. Your work is awesome and I’m glad to feature your journal. :)

@Giuseppina
Thanks for your note. I love putting these lists together for everyone.

@Irma
Hey you! For my “Baby Love” page, I started a new transparent sheet in Photoshop and typed out that specific character from the DW Oh Baby font set. Then I added dimension to the character by adding a stroke layer in Blending Options. That way, the overall outline grows thicker and becomes easier for your die-cutting machine to create a cleaner cut.

Ta-da! Cute die-cut.

Loving your lists, keep them up.
And I remember when I used to by albums (uh, anyone remember those???) just because I loved the cover artwork.
